BUILDING A BETTER DISTRICT

A Movement By Citizens  Demanding Transparency, Accountability, and Community Engagement for school districts in the State of Illinois.

Building A Better District is a taxpayer-led movement and is not affiliated with, nor endorsed by, the State or Regional Board of Education, any individual school district, or administration/Board of Education. 

It's become the practice of the community in many school districts to keep offline copies of Board of Education minutes to insure access to those minutes is easy and unencumbered by the need to request them via FOIA.  With the advent of the internet, storing these documents online is incredibly cost effective and while we would hope school districts would prioritize access to these documents, that is not always the case.   Building A Better District has placed the meeting minutes it has on hand on this page for consumption by the public.  Additionally, we have created a consolidated PDF file of the minutes for each school year so that they can be searched by keywords for ease of use.

The years below are FISCAL Years/School Years (i.e. 2024 is the school year spanning 2023/2024, etc.).
